Re: I accidentally ate lunch with a cult
There’s a Yellow Deli that we drive past sometimes when travelling down the other side of the Blackdowns. The first time I noticed it was when my partner pointed it out as we were going through the town, enroute. To me, it looked like an independent venture. It’s actually a really lovely building, with faux leaded windows each with their own waterfall of vibrant blooms and cascading ivy. Everything about its façade is incredibly inviting.
Imagine my surprise when I came across Cat’s recent post.
Naturally I Googled this local deli of mine, optimistically hoping it wasn’t the same Yellow Deli ran by the same Twelve Tribes. As it turns out, it absolutely is. Wonderful.

I investigated a little further and discovered that not only is this the same Yellow Deli, but their farm (aka. Commune) is basically in our front garden. I could walk there if I really wanted to. I don’t, for obvious reasons.
Yellow Deli was on our list of foodie places to try.
Emphasis on was.
Thanks for the heads up, Cat. What a small world we live in, huh?
